After a warm welcome from our CEO @Christian Degenhart, @Hubert Aiwanger, the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, emphasized in his speech the crucial role microelectronics plays in Bavaria’s economic future. Especially in times of rapid technological change, we need companies willing to lead the way—and political frameworks that support this kind of growth.
Landshut's Lord Mayor @Alexander Putz also shared his admiration for our journey—from our founding in 1989 to our current position as a leading high-tech company. He praised the "Lower Bavarian can-do mentality" of our CEO Christian. District Administrator @Peter Dreier was equally pleased that a company like VX Instruments is committed to staying in the region, bringing with it strong impulses for innovation and economic development.
Last but not least, Prof. Dr. @Harald Kuhn underlined the incredible pace of the semiconductor industry and pointed out what’s essential for success: deep expertise, passion, and courage. We believe VX Instruments embodies all of this—and is well-equipped to continue growing and developing cutting-edge high-power semiconductor testing technology right here in Bavaria.
Later that afternoon, the celebration continued—with employees, families, and friends. Guided tours of the new building provided exciting insights into our day-to-day work and our products. Of course, there was also plenty of fun: a hockey goal-shooting contest with players from the LA Icebreakers, delicious food, and exciting activities for the kids. One special moment: Christian Degenhart himself showed our youngest visitors how to generate electricity using lemons—a fun and hands-on introduction to the world of physics. Who knows—maybe among them were tomorrow’s engineers in the making!
Looking back, it was a truly wonderful day—filled with inspiring conversations, joyful moments, and a fantastic atmosphere. A heartfelt thank you to all our guests, supporters, and friends. We’re so glad you celebrated this special day with us!
